Mercyful Fate

The one piece I was waiting for from Comiket 82 the most, the very long doujinshi combining Fate from Nanoha and several of the girls from Dog Days by one of my favorite creators.  The first half is the original Fatemama story, but redraw and expanded upon, having more of the girls from that series an an appearance, and the second half is what fun they have in Flonyard.

It's been a long time coming, but we've finally been able to work on an actual scan of a Bitch Bokujou doujinshi.  Everything else you've seen has been a digital file, so they're smaller and even more censored that this.  Why he still uses massive mosaics on the print version is beyond me, some artists just do weird things.  This release is definitely huge, but the raws I was working off of were nearly 2GB of tiff files, so it's been cut down to something resembling reasonable.

This work doesn't get as nasty as I'd like, it's probably one the tamer ones so far, so I hope it'll be made up for the next time around!  At least some branding was brought back.  Also, thanks to Kalevala for the scans.

You might have noticed our lack of activity recently. Personal and professional obligations of mine have left me with increasingly little time to work on doujinshi translations, and as such, we are suspending commissions indefinitely. Emails regarding commissions and donor projects will be ignored until further notice. We'll still be doing ordinary releases as our schedules allow, but for the time being we are not able to take on paid requests.

I had been wanting to work on this little piece for quite a long time, too bad it only came to us in digital form, which we all knows means worse censorship than a printed copy. I guess the positives are a controlled large resolution and smoother gradients. In this doujinshi, Bianca and Flora are being tested for their positive qualities in regard to who will make a better wife for the Hero, and the ever-creepy Sancho is around to try them out first-hand. I especially love when DQ5 porn has both the main heroines, they feel like a nice compliment to each other, and of course it reminds me of my favorite doujin. Now with the TV show out and gaining popularity, there's some renewed interest in getting the current doujinshi finished before Comiket82 hopefully dumps a bunch more on us. Hoods has been doing a pretty bang-up job on the show with an off-kilter atmosphere and OST that mirror the tone and atmosphere that the early parts of the manga exude. I'm curious to see where the anime goes and differs from the TV show, but 13 episodes might not be enough to go the places it needs to.

This Ooba Nii guy is tickling all of my right spots. Dark skinned cowgirls with enormously hefty breasts that leak delicious white fluid are our preferred type of woman, and he seems to prefer them as well given his latest few publication appearances. I can't tell how old he's been on the hentai scene, but to our view he's popped up quite recently and made a splash, so we'll absolutely be looking out for more of his works. We already have another in the motions to get translated next.

The image quality of this release is quite poor, I don't know why, but these digital anthologies can have either decent quality or horrendous quality that looks poorly upscaled, even in the same volumes. I've never been a huge fan of digital releases, there's too many variables that can fuck things up: over-censorship by adding more black bars or just slapping on a mosaic (especially on scat), upscale problems, or images that are way too small. About the only upside is that gradients and blacks are true to how they were assembled by the artist, but those are small pros. Though we have to take what we can get and be thankful for at least that, even if it's not preferable. Still, nothing beats a nice high quality scan of a physical item.

I'm becoming a huge fan for this new trend of specific yet short anthology releases we've been seeing. That they all follow themes like brown girls, enormous breasts, or erotic swimwear, and it gives a nice common focus that's lacking from your monthly hentai magazines. I hope it keeps up and allows for more artists to work their way in.

This was a sort of rough read due to it being just more tragic than any kind of arousing, and features quite an odd end, but maybe not as dreadful as his Dragon Quest III release a year ago. If he continues going in order of games, I'm stoked to see what he'd do with Bianca and Flora [and Deborah], and hopefully their daughters too. That would be one damn amazing book regardless of content. This was a joint release with Nashrakh of LWB, with whom I conspired to release that aforementioned book.

Here we have one of the release I was waiting for from Comiket 81, the sequel to one of Nise Kurosaki's Garnet doujins where Makina and Garnet descend upon a young man and have their way with him. Did designs work so perfectly with Makoto Uno's original buxom characters, it's beautiful. I really wish more Dragonaut doujinshi had been made, but being such a bad show kind of has that effect. So this was an important release for us because it's my first TETRODOTOXIN title, and I hope to do more in the future. I know this one was highly anticipated by fans, so enjoy.

Still waiting to see YA-ZY's Monster Hunter, Bakunyu Fullnerson's continuation of the Minea and Manya futanari story, Hakueki Shobou's Black Time 3, Cevoy's DQV, and DA HOOTCH's DQIV. But having things come out in a staggered release is actually better for us, so we can focus on each one individually instead of scrambling.
